First off I was shocked this study existed because of the methodology they used to get data (linking surgery success with people's perceptions of your face), aside from that it has interesting info for anyone considering Lefort 1.

Hmm, the surgeries didn't seem to make as much of a difference as I expected.

This woman's maxilla still has lots room for improvement. You can see her jaw looks too far forward, and her face looks kinda flat, in her side profile after the procedure. Why didn't (or couldn't) the surgeon(s) move her maxilla 5 to 10 mm more?

If it's not possible to advance a maxilla any more than hers was, that's a huge suifuel for me.

midface recession only matters if its extreme

maxilla is only important because it is what gives you good under eye support, jaw and cheekbones

your main problem is your height and ipd, your bones aren't even bad

My lower incisors are bent backwards and crowded. My underbite would be much more obvious if my lower teeth were in their proper positions. I truly have a recessed maxilla.

what are your actual plans? ive heard you say you want to do orbital box and lefort 2, are you serious about that? are you rich how will you get these surgeries? i think you could quite easily get better lower thrid and maxilla but the orbital box surgery will most likely not happen maybe but fingers crossed
