can we discuss the instagram halo effect for a moment.

Lets say i have 1000 followers. There is a halo effect in that

BUT if im Following 1000 people aswell it removes the halo. Why? Supply and Demand?

What is the perfect ratio?? If i have 1800 followers and im following 800 do i still have the halo effect or must i follow under 200

Depends, as long as you follow less than 50% of the amount that follows you you're good, if you have over 1k followers your limit is following 1k people no matter how many followers you get. It's basically showing you're attractive to follow and that they're not just following you because you follow them
