I tested this out with my sister. I screenshoted our DM thread and she sent me a screenshot of a notification from Instagram that I did that.
I know when you Google this they deny it or you get conflicting answers but that’s BS, I now have proof that they do. We tested it out with stories too and it didn’t send a notification, but it used to, it could come back any day.
Just letting you guys know so we can all stalk in peace.
