My brother has had type 1 diabetes since he is 7 years old and has been injecting asparte insulin daily for the past 11 years.
He grew tremendously during this period, surpassing his potential height prediction by 2.5 inches (7cm), now standing at 6'1⅔ (187cm) at the age of 18.
At 16, he was 6'0⅔ (184cm) while I am 5'9¾ (177cm) at the same age.
(Edit) Moreover, I noticed that his skull and face are suspiciously well developed, with little to no apparent recession
I highly suspect his intake of asparte insulin to have enhanced his height growth and muscle mass gain, although I'm uncertain.
