I went to the jaw surgeon this morning to see if i could get approved for a BSSO or a Bimax
These were my complaints
* Tmj popping
* 1 second FVC being 62% although I am in boxing match shape (possibly being caused by a narrow airway due to a recessed lower mandible)
* joint Pain at night
*pain chewing
He shut me down and referred me to a gnathologist to get a mouth piece desinged
(ive always slept with my mouth open leading to recession). Doesnt really make any sense to be honest
Regarding the FVC he said its not caused by my jaw. I think it is
He also told me my recession was not severe and if anything my jaw is too forward grown (i have a forward developed maxilla but a recessed lower mandible)
What do you guys think I should do?
Other reasons i could hava a low FVC?
I’ll probably go to the gnatologist and tell them ive always slept with my Mouth open so a mouth piece like this wouldnt make any sense
