Swimming might increase ribcage circumference. But other sports are useless

We all played sports when we were kids, some grew tall, others didn't. Now most kids and teens stay at home playing video games, but they are much taller then the previous generation.

He’s boneless
Also has a long midface

True, still good development, good forward growth.

I have read about GxE aka gene and environment theory which says how both goes hand in hand. The shortest explanation of that theory is: environment helps activate those genes which would otherwise remain dormant.

Dude, I thought you stood by genetics side...and now you came up with this

To add more: one is never going to surpass their genetic potential, but they can atleast reach their potential if given the right healthy environment.
So did lionel messi
Maybe that was Messi's genetic potential and that's why he didn't grow further.

Ye but all OP did was name a couple of people who obviously have good genetics, and probably look the way they do unrelated to whether they played sports or not

I agree, physical activity increase t and developmental t is everything, or so I've heard.
I played lots of sport until mid high school when I became depressed and everything declined.

Too bad you could’ve been even taller

it doesnt take to be a genius to spot the obvious
It ain't as obvious boyo. Most of you don't even have a clear understanding on how the genes work. I'd recommend you to read about how genes and environment are related. The theory is simple to understand if you have highschool level biology knowledge

Bullshit. The most sporty kids I knew grew up to be manlet framecels meanwhile the least sporty kids grew up to be tall and robust. The sporty kids were fit though I’ll give em that. At the end of the day genes is law

Height is 80% generic but maybe bones are effected by sports and diet
