I was reading a study where there was a remote african tribe who had no access to mirrors. It was observed the inhabitants of this tribe had a much stronger connection to their tribe amd the world around them. Each inhabitant felt one with each other.

Then mirrors were introduced. After about 2 months, the members of the tribe reported feeling lonely, and the culture was different, clothing was different, etc

Interesting read and relevant to this forum. There are many interesting anthropological studies like this
