Fe is inferior meaning you need to put effort in social situations by communicating and showing emotions better.

We tend to value making sense over not hurting people's feelings. Sometimes you just gotta smile and say the "wrong" shit.

You're not cold but rather not open to socializing sometimes.

See you can't drop the behavior of telling them your solution jfl. A lot of people don't bother going through that effort and just lie or ignore people.

You missed the point. That's one of my problems with these things. Pretty useless sometimes.

By 'cold' I meant adaptability in relation to the social context, as society requires certain types of behaviour wearing the cold mask is useful.
Don't get caught up in such summary definitions, I know i'm not "cold"

This is how I think of social interactions. I'm strategically picking different masks to get by social interactions or to get what I want.

I learned this behavior and I'm forced to do it because others are doing it.

There's nothing inherently wrong with this but if you have friends you shouldn't have to do this. But it's hard to find genuine friends.

So what's the problem? Do you not like doing this? It's how people work.

When you study the surface level and embrace it you'll be able to glide around social interactions better.

You don't need to study the surface, in fact I would recommend studying (which is a term I don't like to use) its complexities.
There is no need to study the surface if I can understand the social hierarchy of people in a group and their "-pathies" based on their reactions. Once this is done, it's way easier to understand how to deal with people

If I know someone's ISTP I know they don't like abstract theories so I'll start talking about real world shit.

If I know someone's ISTJ I know I can weird them out with novel ideas when they prefer tried and true traditional methods.

If you're talking to an INTJ you know they want to move the ball forward instead of debating abstract ideas that go nowhere.

INTPs want logical precision and correct answers while INTJs want progress and think of the future.

If you can sniff someone out it's valuable intel.
