Intranasal insulin as a nootropic

Has anyone tried intranasal insulin? From what I have read, it should theoretically enhance cognitive function, as well as memory and learning capacity. This is supposed to happen without impacting your systemic blood sugar or body organs. Has anyone actually experimented with this?
