This is where Franconians reside, in the region of Franconia (called "Franken" in German)

As you can see they are part of Bavaria, but the rest of Bavaria looks down on them for being so subhuman (the rest of Bavaria was populated by displaced Prussians, which is why one of the economically best parts of Germany now)
