There are some exceptions like genuine autism (although I don't know how much of that is real most aspies today would not have existed 40 years ago with constant socializing). Its not natural to want to avoid people being less talkative is varied but to want to avoid all people is a learned thing.

You only become an introvert if you are isolated due to technology or have a negative feedback loop because of autistic traits or ugliness.

Disagree

First off, introversion is not defined by avoiding people nor are all introverts isolated…the avoidance could be due to autism as you mentioned or social anxiety, trauma, personality disorder (cluster A or C probably), etc

Introversion is just people who need alone time to recharge after social interactions, where as extraverts get energised by interacting with other people. You can have introverts who are party animals, it just means they eventually run out of energy and need to be alone for a bit to recharge

What you’re describing in OP is being asocial, which is not mutually exclusive to introversion

I know thats the definition but most people who say "I'm an introvert" are all socially anxious and terrible at talking.
Also this whole recharging your battery thing was not a choice. People would literally be surrounded by their tribe 24/7 it was rare to be alone for days on end.

Yeh, normies describe introversion for any reclused autist, social anxious, lack of verbal skills…basically anything outside being NT:lul:

Probably, but even back in the day, those introverted people must have felt trapped being around others 24/7, they’re going against their neurochemistry. I think it’s a lot to do with nurture bro, you’re born an introvert

I think a lot of it is adapting/how you were raised. People who grow up in big families or who grew up with social situations are much more like to be extroverted. Most introverts I know have spent extended time by themselves or were alienated for a long time

You see maybe I would’ve believed this earlier but now I am 100% sure personality is genetic. I have an almost similar personality to my father and he has an almost similar personality to his mother and we aren’t ugly or anything and we were raised in different environments we all have the same type of shyness

Damn, you described very well what being introvert means. Usually people are born introvert, i was really introvert as a kid and now i became slightly more nt but still I consider myself very introvert, in fact i don't appreciate other people's presence that much but i try to talk with anyone who i like irl to don't be considered a weirdo aspie.

I understand. I’m incredibly NT but also very high on introversion. I need my alone time when I get drained from socialising with people

That's the same for me, when i'm around too many people then i need to spend some time alone at home. I became more nt when i hitted puberty though, in my childhood i didnt have friends because i was the king of introverts, fortunately now i slightly improved but the road is still long.
