Some people look better in motion. It depends on the person. Why do you think models have photographers that know angles, lighting etc?

true. but the disparity is crazy. I've been looksmaxxing for half a decade, im talking not just soft maxing, diet and, gym (the basics) but hardmaxxing chit as well. I look decent in the mirror, but in photos it's like wtf even is that thing.

You're just not used to it. From this point and onwards, whenever you take a picture flip it and stare at it. Eventually this feeling will cease. It happened to me.

If you look good in the mirror, you look good irl. Simple as.

Mirrors simply flip you. Phones on the other hand don’t have the same resolution and perception as an eye. And a photo is limited in terms of depth

Speaking from experience, photos of me can either turn good or i don’t like them at all. No in between

But in the mirror my looks are consistent

I just take a photo of the mirror and then flip it instead of using the flipped selfie cam. The flipped selfie cam just makes me look like an abomination

Seeing yourself flipped confuses your brain since it recognises that it’s you, but something is off. It’s not used to seeing itself flipped. Considering you spend a lot of time in the mirror

Again, speaking from experience. I went trough the same phase as you until i realised only i see this shit and like an autist i asked friends etc and never saw anything

Go with a friend that you spend a lot of time with in front of a mirror and you will see their face is weird since you’re not used to seeing them flipped jfl

Real. I think this is what separates regular GL from model tier GL though. Model looks like mirror version constantly.

I feel like even if I make a certain emotion-like expression like models do “brooding” etc on the mirror and flip it, the emotion itself looks obscured now. I just look like a retard who needs to piss. Yk what I mean?

Just stop flipping yourself, you’re used to mirror you, others are used to the real you. They see you the way you see yourself in the mirror. They don’t see muh flipped muh asymmetry etc.

You can be gl without being a model, it’s about sex appeal, irl appeal and harmony. Not elias de poop or muh barrett alien shit.

These days anyone can be a model, all you need is to not be a manlet and have something quirky about you. The word model lost its meaning

what's inverted camera
What you see in the mirror is flipped to how others see you. Same with photos, naturally. So the inverted "effect" is when you take a selfie of your face and then using your photos app or some other software, you flip the image horizontally, so you see how others see you. If you download snapchat or TikTok there is an "inverted" filter as well so that you dont have do it manually.

But the thing is that while it does flip you, which is accurate to how others see you, the lens distortion can worsen the look of it so now you might look crazy weird.

So I would say you should capture an image of the mirror while you are facing it, and then manually flip it. Then you will have no lens distortion etc.

Lens distortion really messes up your ratios.

not really tbh. if you have decent symmetry. Also like for me for example, I have good symmetry everywhere except for my slightly deviated nose. But in the selfie inverted camera, It looks much worse and shocking to me since nose looks huge asF in it so then the assymtry is worsening in effect in comparison to the realistic proportions in the mirror.

Although, I can imagine how in other cases, yes, it could be cope.

tbh i look like shit in pics, in motion and irl i look 10 times better

relatable. for pics its wld you need like laser precision symmetry and detail. my ratios tell my im symmetric but pics its just awfully deformed.

I heard somewhere that seeing your face in the mirror causes your brain to fixate on the eyes and prevents seeing the whole face. A photograph is honestly how others see you, like how a phone recording is what you sound like (brutal for high fundamental frequencycels). Your asymmetry will be reflected and you will be less familiar with it than what you know from the mirror and seeing the whole face might make more asymmetries apparent to you.

Lens distortion is real, but a phone camera held about a foot or two away is what others see. It's indistinguishable information as the eyeball is a biological video camera.

Yeah. I definitely agree with this. I do though feel like I don't just interact with the mirror in so much of an ooffydoofy way of like looking myself in the eyes from the perspective of, a foid, let's say. Like kind of just trying to grasp an external POV. I def do this sometimes though.

I now kind of just look at the face and am still, or making certain expressions to see how various parts in the face move. yk?

in camera my jaw and eyes are slighty asymmetric but in mirror u cant even see my jaw asymmetric u can only slightly see my eye asymmetric how to other see

people see the opposite of what u look like in the mirror dumbass

I know you retard

I worded it wrong and meant to say they don't see you as ''deformed'' compared to when see yourself in a true mirror. They see you non deformed just like you look in the mirror but flipped. The phenomenon of seeing yourself deformed is simply you not being used to your flipped version.

You are right!

I did that and initially it was weird but the more I stared at my flipped front mirror image the more familiar my face got.
I did notice some asymmetry's in my jaw and lips because one side of my face grew a little bit more but honestly it is not that much.
People IRL commented I have a pretty symmetrical face but the flipped image was always something that bugged me cause I looked hella deformed in it especially if I took a photo with my back camera as if I was taking a selfie but in normal photos that distortion goes away.
