i'm no orthodontist or technician but i think invisalign touching both the inside and outside of teeth might lead to better movement especially while trying to expand the teeth laterally or forward.

It depends how it works, invisiline can expand the jaw or contract the jaw. Contraction makes things worse but expansion better, as long as the palate is getting wider I think its fine
