Or Vladimir Kramnik making math mistakes a 5th grader wouldn't make. If you learn chess from a young age and grind it your brain will start optimizing itself for chess due to plasticity, so you can be a retard but since you grinded chess at a young age your brain will optimize itself for that but you still be a retard in all other areas

Chess is learned, anyone who isn't a retard could get good at chess with enough practice, there is little to no correlation between chess elo and iq
