That is because wealthy people give better environment and education to the child, increasing their IQ in average
IQ doesnt increase with better conditions unless you are in some shithole country, the only case in which it has is when starving populations are no longer starving, IQ is very much genetic and it wouldnt increase with more education as the nature of an IQ test doesnt rely on any previous education and having a better education/knowledge of the world would not increase your IQ on an actual IQ test, for the most part the reason the more upper classes are higher IQ is just that they are generally better off than the average person for the most part and were able to utlize social mobility much more easily, of course you get nepotism as well but they still descend from the people who built it up in the first place (who needed a better IQ than average)

The average ceo in America is 105 iq. Iq is very useful if applied to your life right but too many high iq people fall into the trap of becoming a calculator for someone dumber than them who has a better life
You can increase to your potential yes and I was not familiar with said studies but a 1-5 point increase is nothing crazy and doesnt change the fact that it is for the most part genetics, majority of stupid people will stay stupid even with added education, same with a very high iq person (lets say 140 iq) will stay relatively smart with maybe a few potential decreases if they are poor or live in a shit enviroment, but not to the point where it decreases them to the point of stupidity
