Everyone wants to find meaning in the world and deriving some sort of sense out of the things we experience day to day. Being able to analyze and absorb anything related to analytical philosophy you can't be a dumbass and you're rewarded by being intellectual in these fields. Higher things to me is simply UNDERSTANDING. Understanding what real causation is and finding out what real world applications can be derived from understanding "why's" (Basically philosophy). But most people only care about remedial day to day shit and think philosophy is just useless.
