I don't remember the source tbh but I recall reading some article that said a surprising number if directors and writers only have an IQ between 90-110. Granted that isn't technically bottom of the barrel but it's far from being cognitive elite. Fact of the matter is that inspiration is more about life experience and savviness than just raw cognitive ability.

Disillusionment > Raw IQ

IQ is supposed to be a unit measurement of how much a person can notice patterns, as said by @AutisticR3tard uwu
Most retarded way to over simplify IQ lmao.

Elab or else i will kick you in the head UwU
IQ is a metric for measuring general intelligence aka g factor, retard. You really think a golden standard IQ test like WAIS-IV just measures your pattern recognition skills? JFL at your intelligence.

explains why movies and shows are so shit

Average IQ on this forum is about room temperature, take most of what is said here with a huge grain of salt.

IQ is pattern recognition and problem solving, it doesn’t give you any emotional depth or artistic ability. I meet a ton of high IQ people who have no depth behind them, when I’ve seen the most true pain behind the words of a Down syndrome man who was trying to articulate his suffering while knowing he was limited.

what do u think kentaro miuras iq was? I think berserk is one of the most original stories ever told and no other can match its emotional intensity. Id guess hes like 165iq or so, its even more impressive if you knew that he first drew panels and then came up with the story as it progressed

imo he just thinks a lot about his story which is probably why it took so long lol. i read on reddit for one chapter in the elf island it was suppose to be a dark chapter but since his friend died he made it happy to cheer himself up. reminds me of breaking bad also done without a story in mind. i think following your character through their journey lets you produce more logical emotion and action from the characters.

one thing i always like about berserk was how well the themes are tied together and consistent. like when guts stands up after being thrown around by a huge monster i dont even feel like it's plot armor because it makes sense guts stands up against hardship. i believe for stories they should all follow a set of rules. i can't even explain it properly. you cant have one character make super high iq plays for an instance then do something dumb the next. like when guts use the sword to do some shit in the fight against serpico they said he did it out of instinct because it would be weird if guts was high iq. that is not to say guts isn't smart, it would just be weird if he went from suddenly being a rugged swordsman to being a analytical fighter. berserk didn't have all the cool plot twist but that consistency is what made it a good story for me.
