I was shocked. he's a stemcel at the top of his class (literally the top student) but for some reason i didn't expect that to happen, I thought i would lead and win but got DESTROYED (IN THE FULL SENSE OF THE WORD) I never felt so dumb in my life before, I want to kill myself. he was like 'na bro you good, we have those days' I also smoked weed before like some moron and it gave me a headache.

The smartests guys in my corporation are on medium positions. They are experts in their, but at the same time the cannot go higher. Why?
1) its difficult to replace them. They have enormous knowledge.
2) they are wrecked by people with much better social skills. They studied hard, but usually didnt had time to improve smooth talking. They are not clever in a social way

The way you get ahead career-wise is getting your foot in the door with some kind of skill (probably need to go to university for this) and then making people like you and being reliable.

JFL at grinding away hoping that your company will give a shit about the savant who is doing all the work. You will get raises and stuff but the way managers think about you is that you are a "resource". So if you have been working there for 10 years you are interchangeable with someone who has the same title at a different company. Being likeable is way more important than doing a good job I cannot stress that enough.

It also helps you when you move to a different company and need to interview.

What happened, I'm high-IQ but lost "debates" against much dumber people, if they have more status, are more popular and people root for them, it doesn't matter how smart you are, or how great and logical are your arguments, they can simply destroy you with a simple "Get the fuck out of here!" or "Yeah right!"(while rolling their eyes), while everyone laughs at you, like you're the idiot...
I learned to avoid debates and argue with dumb people, there's no point if your status is low.
