..True intelligence can not be calculated.

A core factor of intelligence(creativity) can not be measured. There's multiple accounts of people with high iq lacking common sense. Albert Einstein who I'm pretty sure you're all aware of was thought of to have an iq of 160..

This is completely ridiculous to place on him because he never took an IQ test and there's a high chance he would of bomb the test. Einstein had dementia and he was known to take a long time to think. BECAUSE of this, he probably wouldn't have even finished the test on time.

There are accounts of people who had even higher scores than the perceived score of Einstein's. There was this little teenage girl who had like 20 points higher than Einstein and she was getting hyped up a bit. Oh give me a break. Am I really going believe that some random brat is smarter than Albert Einstein because her IQ is superior?

IQ tests weren't even originally made to measure intelligence. It was a test conceived to identify retarded kids and see whatever or not they would be capable of completing their education.

Whether or not iq tests measure intelligence is irrelevant. It measures something and that thing that it measures is correlated heavily to some things.

Whether it measures how big your asshole is or how smart you are is irrelevant. What it measures is correlated heavily to things like income.

I'm sure the ones you can take online are. They probably just want to sell you crap.

Anyways, there's a big difference between intelligence and wisdom. The most simple minded people are often times the most wise.

There are statistics that show lower IQ people lead different lives than higher IQ people, it's still pretty relevant. To accurately measure intelligence though? Nah. Richard Feynman, one of the most renowned mathematician of all time had an IQ of 125 because he sucked at english and writing but did exceptionally well in mathematics.

the existence of g is very well established and iq is a good proxy precisely because its easy to measure accurately

g isnt everything, many people with high g are practically speaking retarded and believe a lot of retarded things but that doesnt change the fact that a person with low g will never be a mathematician, great literary writer, etc.

also einstein is a fraud jew faggot

You're right about there being other important factors playing into intellect, but IQ is an incredibly accurate predictor of intelligence. Outliers don't change this.

iq are very legit, it mainly attempt to test like 4 main things;

the maximum level of thought complexity you can comprehend at once

how fast you can learn new information

how fast you can process information

and creativity

those things are profoundly important for your mental abilities, but iq is a combination of those factors and you get an average of the categories, Einstein’s “creativity iq” is with a doubt one of the highest in human existance, but his other factors may have brought it down, then again it’s just an estimation in the first place jfl

That's a myth Richard Feynman could've easily gotten 140+ on a standard iq test. He literally won national competitions in math.

That isn't a myth, he admitted it himself. He was shit at english and thats a big portion of the IQ test. He didn't care though, he thought IQ tests were bullshit like OP said, they dont measure creativeness or intuitiveness.

English has little to do with iq jfl, generally high iq is correlated to good language skills but that’s all it is, a correlation, something like math is 5x more telling for iq

Yeah he did poorly on the language portion. I just used those words interchangeably.

Ah NVM, I just looked into it. It was his childhood IQ. His IQ likely developed higher as he aged.

Feynman was universally regarded as one of the fastest thinking and most creative theorists in his generation. Yet it has been reported-including by Feynman himself-that he only obtained a score of 125 on a school IQ test. I suspect that this test emphasized verbal, as opposed to mathematical, ability. Feynman received the highest score in the country by a large margin on the notoriously difficult Putnam mathematics competition exam, although he joined the MIT team on short notice and did not prepare for the test. He also reportedly had the highest scores on record on the math/physics graduate admission exams at Princeton. It seems quite possible to me that Feynman's cognitive abilities might have been a bit lopsided-his vocabulary and verbal ability were well above average, but perhaps not as great as his mathematical abilities. I recall looking at excerpts from a notebook Feynman kept while an undergraduate. While the notes covered very advanced topics for an undergraduate-including general relativity and the Dirac equation-it also contained a number of misspellings and grammatical errors. I doubt Feynman cared very much about such things.

????
Real iq tests don’t have “language” portions.
It’s literally pattern recognition, you can’t really study for it.

Plagiarized the ideas of a number of Scottish, Italian, French and German scientists, such as:
  • Olinto de Pretto who published E = mc^2 seven years before Einstein;
  • James Clerk Maxwell who wrote the same relativity theory, 30 years prior to Einstein;
  • Henri Poincare who posited that the speed of light is constant and linked to mass, 30 years before Einstein and described by a mathematical formula identical to the one Einstein 'borrowed';
  • Hendrik Lorentz who developed the energy transformation formula, 8 years before it was included in Einstein's bundle of other thefts.
All Einstein did was pack the work of these intellectual giants up, called it 'his work' (did not cite any sources), and used his status/position to push it to the public so hard that his lies are now popularly regarded as fact.

Why did he push it to the public? Because to the Physics community his claims were nothing new. As such, Einstein never received a Nobel prize for "his work" regarding relativity. Merely for theories on photoelectricity, which too were extremely derivative and partially plagiarized.

How do you know what defines a "real" iq test and it's not just your arbitrary way of thinking about it? But the test Richard feynman took likely emphasized verbal ability which a lot of IQ tests include.

He was absolutely not brilliant - at best a midwit, as well as a thief, liar, and attention whore on top of that. He was famously terrible at articulating/explaining 'his' theories, probably because didn't actually understand the ideas he had stolen, lmao.

Linguistic intelligence is still valid and exists in other IQ tests that were also made by psychologists. Just because mensa doesnt add it to their tests and uses only patterns and spatial intellegence doesnt mean its invalid.

Regardless of his personal convictions (which I was well aware of when I replied) he was still a giant of the mind and deserved all of his fame.

They are lmao how was he a fraud if he contributed to multiple aspects of physics like I've noted above.

Also you said Einstein wrote the same (copied) James Maxwell and plagiarized his work just lol. Maxwell didn't formulate the theory of relativity.

Relativity was formulated primarily by Poincaré, Einstein and Lorenz and a few others, though Einstein's work in particular had more influence on physics.

Theories don't emanate from a vacuum you need to study the works of people who came before you and add to it, which is what Einstein did.

Obviously you need to study others' work, but that isn't the point.

Einstein basically discovered nothing - he synthesized a bunch of other scientist's discoveries, largely did not cite/reference them (LITERALLY PLAGIARISM), and then marketed his bundle of theft as 'his work' to the public for maximum clout. Greater men did most of the legwork, yet how many of them are household names?
