It used to be English territory from 1169 until 1922 when they revolted and started killing protestants. You can see the violence and hostility to this day. Irish hate English even though they were the ones who helped build the country and it's economy.

Idk that there's much can be done to give America back to the natives at this point. They're given reparations in the way of sanctioned territory and so on, but besides, the English settlers were the ones who built and made America into what it is today. There wasn't much beside a few tends back when they arrived.
You can make humanitarian arguments from both angles, but the Hamas intentionally targeted Israeli civilians where Israel only means to take out terrorists. Hamas strategically placed their military bases around their own population so that they can point at Israel and say "look at what you've done". Israel also gave a heads-up before striking to make it possible for regular people to flee. Same cannot be said about the terrorists indiscriminate killing of Israeli citizens.
