I'm starting to think going below 12 or 15 makes you lose the youthful look and just looks too gaunt

15 is enough for facial features to appear sharp

Just cut until you're good looking, don't focus on the bodyfat %

below %12 would be very difficult

I look deformed and subhuman at 15%+. I got hundreds upon hundreds of matches at 10%.

Some people look ok and acceptable even at 18-20%. As said above, don't focus on the numbers. Focus on what looks good on you.

If you don't have visible abs you are still likely holding on to a lot of extra fat, which will also show up in your cheeks and face in a disadvantageous way.

It took me at least 6 months to go from 15% to 10%. I thought I was already lean, but boy do those last 5 digits make a massive difference in my case. Nasolabial folds completely flattened, cheekbones popped, jawline sharp as a razor. Eyes appear much more deep set.
Ogee curve very visible.

I don't suggest going that low unless you have some muscle mass though (2-3 years natty at least, or 1+ year of roiding) or you will look too small.

More muscle mass = look better at higher bf% / and fat distribution but yes I concur - numbers are arbitrary, just focus on a certain look you want to achieve
 
Anything below 10% and u might have problems getting an erection apparently.

Reaching 10% is impossible for me, always binge at the end of the week
 
If you ever have to reach ten-percent body-fat just for your "bones" to appear, it is terribly over and perhaps never began. Sorry!

see what works for u. if you look gaunt below 12% then build more muscle so you can afford a higher body fat% for your face.

yeah once ur fat pads on ur under eyes area and stuff start to be used as energy and disappear thats when its too low imo

if u have hallow under eyes no positive benefit of having a insanely low BF like abs or better jaw visibility will worth it. Also if you have to go extremely low bf to get abs then you usually lack muscle in the ab region so train them, or you might just have insanely fucked fat distribution

Low BF primarily benefits people with bones / good bone structure, if you are boneless its better to stay higher like 16-18%, rarely higher but for example if u store a lot of fat in ur chin and you have a recessed lower jaw then being lower will actually make it look worse and you are recessing yourself

Another example, if you are low BF, good bone structure + young you will look way older than average (still youthful just more mature look) however if you are OLD like 30s/40s and have low bf and good bone structure its the opposite because most peoples collagen is shit at that age including yours most likely, but your bones naturally stretch out the fat / skin, making it not sag so you look healthier and younger

tldr pretty much low bf rapes u and makes u holocaust prisoner if you r boneless, you will have more visible bones and hallow cheeks but your bones are shit and it would be better if a little bit of facial fat covered them, you are literally just losing your natural youthful health indicators for no reason. everyone should probably cut at least once though as an adult to see where their true bone potential is though because you can never really know and you only have one life
