Is 10mg of accutane enough for my acne

Im 17 years old, 189cm tall (6,25). I hopped on 10mg of accutane a week ago.
My acne is pretty severe as you can see in these pics. Do you think this dosage is enough or should i ask my dermatologist, if i can take more.

benzyol + retinol otc were enough to kill off my acne completely

i would stop the accutane temporarily and ask the derm for oral oryhtromycin to prevent it

Is oryhtromycin like a lighter version of accutane, right? Why is it better to do that before, does it prevent scarring?

My derm told me i will take 10mg until mid January and up from then perhaps 20mg and so on and so on

its an antibiotic, yes you use it to prevent scarring before and during an accutane course

I thought about finishing accutane treatment first, which will take about till august and than if needed im going to use topical tretinoin. Bc i heard that clears up almost any scarring. Don’t know if its true tho.

its not true, it only clears up very superficial scarring in a long amount of time. its a very bad plan

if you get unlucky the purge will fuck you like nothing else, its just not worth the risk to not insure yourself with an antibiotic

My lips are dry on some days and my skin is slightly flaky. My dermatologist let me do it. 0.7 ratio is not even high. The recommend is 0.5-1.0. some take 2.0

no you need it right now, stop the accutane until you get it and it starts working. make sure its oral

its far too late for an oral antibiotic to do anything so i assume this is a topical, from my experience they are very irritating and might do more damage than good, especially considering you are on accutane and ur skin is especially sensitive and dry. tho it can work and you will be fine. one way to find out

No it’s 500mg oral tablets. My skin isn’t that dry yet. Tho I’m already 6 weeks on accutane. First 4 weeks 10 mg a day and now 20 mg. Soon my dosage will be 30 mg

well u can take it. i dont think it will do anything positive or negative as you probably already started purging, for it to have desired effect you should take it atleast for some time before even starting accutane

or you might have been lucky and have delayed accutane effect and in consequence purge so theres still time tho i highly doubt it

by any means use it theres nothing to lose, but for it to do something u will have to get lucky, which is just unlikely since i think the purge is going to happen very soon if u didnt notice a difference yet

for it to lower inflammation to the extend it significantly improves ur acne it needs to be given some time

10will do the job but it will come back after 6 Month if you stop taking.

they texted already the dosage but after u clean all the acne hop on ghk or do a laser treatment
