Is 4 mL of 5% topical minoxidil per day safe for scalp and beard?

I want to use 1 mL for temples and 1 mL for beard in the morning and 1 mL for temples and 1 mL for beard at night. So that would be 4 mL total per day. The official instructions say to apply 1 mL twice a day to the scalp only so I'm worried it won't work as well if i split the 1 mL and use 0.5 mL on my temples and 0.5 mL on my beard. Obviously I'm switching to oral as soon as I can.

Just be careful if you have a cat it could kill it
