Depends heavily on diet. The reason the average heights are taller is that those who immigrate tend to be wealthier and thus have better food security then the poorer natives who don't immigrate. However the caveat is that the European diet which is generally in a strong caloric surplus quantity wise and rich in dairy and high in meat quantity is best suited for optimal height.

The asians and ethnic immigrants who westernize their diet in terms of higher quantity and especially meat and dairy along with adequate sports playing tend to be able to often be able to get a few inches above their parents.

As a whole its taller, but I see also a lot that don't become taller and its because they don't implement the relevant dietary changes of higher meat quantity and dairy and a emphasis on sports.
