Where I live I feel just slightly below average but I guess it depends on your country, however I keep seeing girls on social media (twitter and reddit) saying that they'd never date someone under 6'0” (182cm) and guys my height saying that it is “over” for them.

So it’s just a dating apps thing? Or is height actually more important to some girls than personality, having hobbies, being fit, etc?

Not saying that it is necessarily a “bad” thing if that’s the case, we all have preferences after all, i'm just genuinely curious.

1) That "6'0 and over" and "it's over" stuff is literally a meme. Don't take it seriously.

2) Height is important because it's one of the first thing women look at when perceiving attractiveness. Saying that height is the end all be all is a stretch. It just gets you in the door, as you fit someone's physical preference.

3) Lastly, 5'7" isn't really short enough to impact you seriously. Height may only become a serious barrier for entry when you are 5'4" and under. A lot of dudes in that camp need to work their ass off to compete on the same level as a cool dude of average height. At your height is where the saying, "If they reject you for your height, then they aren't worth it" is a more valid statement.

It depends of women height.. This what most people dont get... If women are 5.7-.5.8 they always want taller man... Men have opposite effect.. They want women that are shorter than them..
