Hi, I'm a 6-foot, 18-year-old male, and my biacromial width, measured with a tape across my back from acromion to acromion, is 21 inches. I just wanted to know if that's considered average for a male. I’m also aware that there would be a difference in measurement if I used calipers, but I don’t own one, and a measuring tape is all I have.

No, average is 25 inches. To mog you need 30 inches min. I have a 31 inch

Thats probably like 5x ur bizygo width in that case lol

You’re measuring wrong the 99th percentile meaning 1% is 17 inches. There’s no way you’re 0.0001%

100% measured wrong. Show your frame.

Okay, guys, I said my biacromial width measurement was done using a tape measure, not a caliper.

That's my tape measurement, meaning the tape went from one acromion bone across my back to the other. The percentiles in studies were done using a caliper, not a measuring tape, but I don't have access to or own a caliper.

Also my measuring tape measurement is also taking into account of the curvature of my back.

Whatever you get with the tape measure still applies to those percentiles.

Measuring with a tape measure doesn’t just magically add a few inches to the measurement. Both instruments measure the same thing, it’s just calipers are a more efficient way to get a precise measurement to the mm.

That wouldn't make sense, though, because a tape measure accounts for curvature, unlike a caliper, which means there would be a noticeable difference. So my estimated caliper measurement could be around 18 or 19 inches, but that might be average for someone of my height.

If you were measuring accurately you wouldn’t need to account for curvature unless you are some disabled hunch back nigger who can’t even sit up straight.

Also a tape measure doesn’t account for curvature in this case either, all you are doing is inflating the measurement by curving the tape which is what every retard on here does and then claims 23 inch bidelt.

Even an 18-19 inch biacromial sounds unbelievable because of how rare it is. You haven’t measured it correctly, simple as.

Okay, relax bro. Just look up the tailor's method—that's exactly how I'm measuring.

Why don’t you use the actual scientific way to measure it and use common sense. Then maybe you wouldn’t get giga inaccurate measurements.

By the way you are claiming a bideltoid that not even Arnold had, nor do bodybuilders get after years of roiding and training. Unless we have some genetic freak on here, then I’d find it hard to believe without a picture.

The bone is straight across. if you really want to get an accurate measurement, have someone measure it for you using a ruler

I said that’s my biacromial width no bideltoid, lmao. I can’t measure it the scientific way because I don’t own calipers and can’t be bothered buying a pair.

If you know a way for me to measure them accurately without using a tape measure, let me know, please.

Would marking my bone points on a wall work, and then measuring the distance between them? It seems like it could work.

Yes that works. Make sure to stand up straight and ensure you are marking it accurately.

That way you don’t have to curve and it’s just a simple straight measurement.

I get 18.8 inches using the marking-on-the-wall method.

With some extra assistance from a friend, it actually came out to 20 inches. It must have been because I was stretching my arm over to mark each side of my biacromial width, which made the measurements smaller since I was stretching over.

I measured the right way now and it came out to 20 inches

Bullshit stop being a kid
Is it really that rare? I thought that would be average for someone who's 6 feet tall. Aren't people who are 6'5" and above typically 22 inches or more? It wouldn't make sense to have an 18-inch biacromial width on a 6'5" or taller frame.

I don’t know what that is what I base my assumption from is that as 17 inches is 99% (1%) you having 20 inches is more than 0.0001% even less.
