Is a degree in physics worth it

I’m going to one of the best colleges in my country to study physics and eventually get a phd then become a professor but the pay really isn’t that good.

Is it better to go to medical school like my grandad and uncle and become a physciatrist for 220000 a year? It is a 10 year course process tho.
