A little context, at the age of 13 in February 2024 I got braces. I'm getting them off before the end of 2025. As a side effect of having braces my jaw and chin received good forward growth as a resault. But my biggest issue the growth my jaw received in contrast to my cheekbones. My cheekbones stayed back while my jaw went forward, now I'm hoping to cope by getting a marpe palate expander. I have decent cope to ask because my palate is actually small from the braces bringing my maxilla forward.
My plan is to tell my doctors that my palate is to small, by saying that its hard for me to breath and my tounge cant fit in my mouth.

Any tips how to get the doctors to give it to me?
Any tips on how to get better cheekbones?

If you are 15 chances are your sutures are still open so you should get a rpe instead of a marpe, ofcourse if they are closed go get marpe,

As to how to get marpe the provider always matters, if you have to ask your ortho and try and convince him that you need expansion than you shouldn’t even be working with him since they never have enough experience and you could end up with bad assymetery.

if you are serious about this you will have to travel to find a provider that will give it to you right away. Unless ofcourse you have a provider near you. There are websites that lists orthos that commonly suggest expansion to their patients, you can try and find ones near you

My ortho Dr Yoon in La is sweet and suggested a marpe to me right away, she is expensive tho and your 15.
