could be ok. Automating it would probably require a total revamp of US laws and I don't even think anyone trusts that shit yet.
Would be hard to have a family though.

You can get paid decent depending on location, company, whether or not you own the truck. Downsides are having to be on the road driving for days at a time. Being away from home/family. If you want to start a family at some point don’t be a truck driver because your wife will be fucking Chad while you’re sleeping on an inflatable mattress in the cab of your truck for 4 days a week.
