or do the "shrunken glands" grow back over time. like whats the difference between applying it topically (tretinoin) and orally (isotretinoin). one just fucks you up more than the other right?

i feel like the people who say its permanent were using accutane during their teen years so when they are out of puberty, they wouldve stopped having acne with or without accutane. accutane just gets them through the tough part and then its effects slowly revert over time but its okay because the user isnt in puberty anymore. thats my theory at least

Idk, man. I have no clue why I'm still getting acne as a 21 year old male. I'm not some dumb foid on a period going on a hormone rollercoaster. I fixed my diet, and been using adapalene for 2 months and I'm still purging, so I have no idea if it's helping or not because I should have stopped purging after the first month according to what others experience.

i feel like people who get acne after puberty would fall into the category of " WTF I TOOK ACCUTANE BUT IM STILL GETTING PIMPLES A YEAR LATER"

I never took accutane btw.

i know but im just saying if you did, you would probably still have acne regardless later down the line bcuz i dont think accutane is as much of a permanent solution as people say

Yeah took like three courses of it and never broken it again. I dont even need to wash my face after the gym no more . I never get acne

It was permanent for me. I used to get a lot of breakouts. Got put on accutane. Was on it on-and-off. Then stopped using it, but acne never came back. Haven't gotten major breakouts in over 5 YEARS.

In my experience, the effects of Accutane on your skin start wearing off after about 2 years. Then your acne starts coming back, just not as bad.

That's when you go on another course of accutane if you want.

maybe im just coping cuz i really dont wanna do it but shit im down for getting jaw implants and shit, i should be down for this

if not you are not healthy

No it's not in my case but I never went over 40mg. I'm staying on 10mg ed-eod indefinitely because it always comes back and fuck fucking yourself up with high dosages. It's highly effective at low dosages.

have you personally experienced it coming back? and have you been on higher dosages? if so, what were the side effects?

I was on accutane for 9 months shit sucked and I still get a couple pimples ever 3 months or so when stressed out about school or life.

No you didnt prove shit faggot stfu
Except I did, I refuted all of your studies, proving you wrong, keep coping about "muh minox ruined collagen" when it was the alcohol and ur cheap ass minox

Minoxidil does effect collagen deal with it bitch

Be glad you don’t have the sides

It is effective sure. How do u know the acne won’t come back after u finish a low dose for 5-7 months?

I took one course at age 16 and had to take another one at 19. after my second course I’m acne free (22 yo now). I could literally smear dog shit in my face and I wouldn’t get a single pimple. I don’t think the results are from accutane tho tbh. Maybe I just grew out of it

But it doesn't even study you linked I shit down it's throat by proving it wrong, the only thing that damages collagen in minox foam is the alcohol, keep coping because you were too cheap to buy the liquid.

Stops fibroblasts from proliferating. Fibroblasts are the main thing that produce collagen.

Case closed

Lol I KNOW it comes back which is why I am on it for LIFE at 5-10mg every day. No side effects. Studies show a low dosage boost collages and reverses photoageing. 40mg was already unbearable and shitty. affected lifting, akin was constantly dry and tons of other problems. I can't imagine what people running 80mg+ must feel like. It's not a permanent fix.

Wtf. Why would u take it for life? Just ask ur doctor and take it for a longer time till u reach cumulative dose. It might fuck up ur liver if u take it for long tho

I'm my own doctor and run my own blood tests. Just open up pubmed and read some studies on accutane. A low dosage boosts collagen, lowers inflammation and reverses photoageing. I am not suggesting anyone to do what I am doing of course.

If u want those effects tretinoin (retin-a) does the same things without any side effects. I don’t think its safe to use accutane for life but you do you.

Minoxidil reduces lysyl oxidase without effecting collagen biosynthesis. - PubMed -NCBI

"Administration of minoxidil (500 microM), which specifically decreases LH activity without affecting PH activity or collagen biosynthesis in skin fibroblasts".

Minoxidil doesn't decrease collagen production, but dehydrated alcohol in the cheap shit you put on your face cause contact dermatitis and inflammation, which reduces collagen production.

Case closed shitter.

If the Lysyl Hydroxylase is inhibited then collagen will still be produced but much more unstable

The article says nothing about its effects on fibroblast proliferation, which is the main way Minoxidil destroys collagen. Less fibroblast cells altogether = slower collagen production.

Okay so now you're changing your argument?
which is the main way Minoxidil destroys collagen
But I have already proven this wrong, read again:

"Administration of minoxidil (500 microM), which specifically decreases LH activity without affecting PH activity or collagen biosynthesis in skin fibroblasts".

slower collagen production.
...without affecting PH activity or collagen biosynthesis in skin fibroblasts"

Let me say it again: Fibroblast cells are still producing collagen, but there is LESS OF THEM due to minoxidil’s effects on PROLIFERATION. As shown in this study and many others: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/2826267/

Minox doesn’t effect collagen biosynthesis in individual cells but there will be LESS CELLS producing collagen while on Minox, meaning aged thinner skin.

And I don’t give a shit about your opinion, because clearly you have an opinion and WANT minoxidil to be an innocent hair growth drug. I do too. But, Minoxidil aged my skin, and I made this empirical observation by looking in the fucking mirror.

But this isn't true either, minoxidil has actually been shown to protect skin cells in the papillary dermis, which is cell layer most respnsible for pushing cells up to the strateum corneum, the highest level of you skin,

"Minoxidil also promoted the survival of human DP cells by activating both the ERK and protein kinase B (Akt) pathways, and prevented apoptotic cell death by increasing the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax "

Except I already proved why this is false with the above link.

And I don’t give a shit about your opinion, because clearly you have an opinion and WANT minoxidil to be an innocent hair growth drug.
But I have already cited multiple sources proving you wrong, in conjunction with your only study you linked that directly supports your claim was done in a petri dish from 1987.

and I made this empirical observation by looking in the fucking mirror.
Anecdotes are completely worthless, what is more likely is that your utter incompetence in doing any form of research before applying things to your face led you to choose the cheapest foam minoxidil with dehydrated alcohol in it, cause contact dermatitis which has been proven to directly reduce collagen.

" ...isolated collagen from the ear skin of mice with chronic contact dermatitis ....These results suggest that the collagen in chronically inflamed tissue has altered biochemical characteristics and functions, which may affect the pathogenesis of the chronic skin disease."

Besides, there are far more anecdotes proving that minoxidil doesn't do anything to your facial collagen.

Next time do your research before putting things on your body.

Accutane lasts 1 2 years

BUT can cause castration like propecia. Yes, erectile disfunctio for life.
Risk that ? Enjoy, love yourself boy !

I don't get it frequently anymore tbh.
But I think morning wood doesn't have much to do with arousal. I have dirty dreams once in a while, but I generally avoid drinking much before going to sleep, so that I don't have to wake up to go to piss or sleep bad.
All that to say: morning wood is used by your body to avoid pissing urself in your sleep, andnot having it doesn't necessarily mean your hormones are fucked.

LOL pure cope. Accutane doesn’t cause permanent ED. I’ve had 2 courses and my sex drive is too high, I literally wanna lower it
