I have had acne for a while but also have bad blackhead on cheeks I am pretty clean and wash my face and have good hygiene but nothing seems to work I also eat a strict clean animal based diet my doctor says it’s natural because I’m still growing but I really want to take acnutane to clear my skin is it worth?

Accutane should really be a last resort, it can be tough on your liver. It’s better to start with something milder, like adapalene or a benzoyl peroxide gel.

Yeah you could definitely do it if the acne is that bad and is making your life more/unnecessarily difficult. It definitely works with minimal side effects - dry mouth and skin can get very infuriating after a while- you will need aquaphor and vaseline etc. Cracks and bleeding can occur often. Shouldn’t drink while on it. Make sure to eat well; vegetables, fiber, water - That’s all.
