is adapalene genuinely useless

been on acne treatment for ~ 1.5 months maybe more and legit nothing is happening. acne started improving half a month ago but its coming back and fucking my asshole unfortunately . i've been on tret for this time, but also been using adapalene alongside it since my tret dosage is 0.025. saw some stuff about azelic acid and was wondering two things.

a: will introducing a new treatment restart purging and fuck me harder?
b: is azelic acid actually better / more usable than adapalene?

honestly it did nothing for me

I just switched to some retinoids and I'm doing much better

i see i see... do you think the region where acne is located would change the effectiveness of treatment? i have similar acne on my whole face, but all the acne near my cheeks genuinely vanish as soon as i put any treatment on them. one the contrary somehow any acne near bone (like zygos and mainly forehead) just ignore everything put on them . any thoughts or lack thereof appreciated

sorry idk that much about acne honestly
some users may tell u to go on accutane, I didn't because there's a chance of hair loss which I don't understand how it happens
