We obviously can’t prove the existence of ADHD, since it has to do with consciousness and the gap between the brain

All we have are hypothesis surrounding dopamine, even this side is debating nature(genetic inheritance of attention deficits) vs nurture(habits like doom scrolling shortening attention spans)

What’s y’all opinions?

I agree to be honest, I think there are a lot of confounds that explain these symptoms as well

Yep, I think severe cases are really just a type of autism tbh and the rest are environmental. If you read dsm5 they diagnose your symptoms by the symptoms jfl it's just a fancy name for a cluster of things

Tbh maybe adhd is real because I got the same paper for uni but never turned it in cause I forgot

Yup exactly

The worst part is, that if you aren’t conscious of your actions, eventually you will start subconsciously playing the part of having ADHD for the people around you. This happened to me a couple times, that people would just start saying I have ADHD when I’m just smiling minding my own business keeping myself entertained in my head. I would then start acting a bit more impulsive as well around them when they continued to bring it up, I think it has to do with social norms and what people expect out of u to bring to the table. (I was also a bit of a people pleaser)

I had to cut those people off for the most part
