Do heavy lifts like Squad and Bench Press really put pressure on the growth plates, causing them to close faster and rendering taking AI (Aromatase Inhibitors) useless?

lifting wont do anything its all about hormonesDo heavy lifts like Squad and Bench Press really put pressure on the growth plates, causing them to close faster and rendering taking AI (Aromatase Inhibitors) useless?
i dont think lifting weights gonna mess up your height or somehow stop your growth, there are too many good examples of people going to gym since little age and growing up tall and jackedDo heavy lifts like Squad and Bench Press really put pressure on the growth plates, causing them to close faster and rendering taking AI (Aromatase Inhibitors) useless?
so i can lifr heavy as i want without being afraid?lifting wont do anything its all about hormones
if you dont get injured then sureso i can lifr heavy as i want without being afraid?
I squat 150 kg and bench press 80 kgUnless you're loading up on things 2x your bodyweight, no, i dont think so.
Aromatase inhibitors also work differently than bench presses and squads. Squads may stunt growth, they dont cause closure.
On the contrary, they can cause bone growth, since consistent stimuli inhibits sclerostin and in turn produces more bone. Whether that's cortical bone only or translates to true height rather than mere bone density is unknown, at least, to me
i warm before lifting and make sure everything is good but i heard that Ai It affects the density of bones, thats made me scared that smth could happen to me since i lift too heavyif you dont get injured then sure
so i can go heavy and do wtv i want??i dont think lifting weights gonna mess up your height or somehow stop your growth, there are too many good examples of people going to gym since little age and growing up tall and jacked
dont go too heavy its still unknown i was thinking the same question year and a half ago but i found nothing, work with your own body weight you'll get good physique and after 18 start with weights (thats what i did)so i can go heavy and do wtv i want??![]()
What makes me hesitant to continue heavy lifting—especially since I’m taking aromatase inhibitors—is that my friend told me I shouldn’t expect any increase in height as long as I’m lifting heavy.Unless you're loading up on things 2x your bodyweight, no, i dont think so.

So you're saying I should start playing calisthenics instead of the gym? not bad at alldont go too heavy its still unknown i was thinking the same question year and a half ago but i found nothing, work with your own body weight you'll get good physique and after 18 start with weights (thats what i did)
Why? Mechanical stress has nothing to do with bone age maturationWhat makes me hesitant to continue heavy lifting—especially since I’m taking aromatase inhibitors—is that my friend told me I shouldn’t expect any increase in height as long as I’m lifting heavy.
He said that my growth plates will remain open normally, but I won’t grow taller the way I want, even with the AI.
However, there are indeed studies that say squats do not affect heightdont go too heavy its still unknown i was thinking the same question year and a half ago but i found nothing, work with your own body weight you'll get good physique and after 18 start with weights (thats what i did)
I mean, there's no literature that shows your growth can be stunted by heavy weights. So, you're probably fine.I squat 150 kg and bench press 80 kg
and iam 16 btw so u think im safe?
I think what he means is that when I lift very heavy weight—like in squats—it pushes me down toward the ground, and there’s a lot of pressure on my legs from both my bodyweight and the weight I’m lifting. Why? Mechanical stress has nothing to do with bone age maturation
As long as the matter remains unknown, I will avoid exercises that cause a lot of stress and opt for individual exercises, such as those using machines. In any case, I am considering leaving the gym for the duration of my growth and turning to swimming or boxingI mean, there's no literature that shows your growth can be stunted by heavy weights. That isn't true. And that this pressure will cause my growth plates to close instead of me getting taller.
There's no point in avoiding it. Sure, pascal's wager is a good method, but, there's no point in this "just in case", when, there's no proof of it. There's no proof that gym will cause you to get a gyno, but, there's no evidence nor coherent explanation for it.As long as the matter remains unknown, I will avoid exercises that cause a lot of stress and opt for individual exercises, such as those using machines. mhmm ur words make more senseThat isn't true.
It's a specious argument. A black swan paradox. Literature shows that you wont cause them to close, growth plates arent walves or handles. They are simply bone. That's like saying "If i thumbpull enough, I can close my facial sutures" no, you wont.
well I will do what I love as long as there is no evidence, and I will try not to be violent in any heavy exerciseThere's no point in avoiding it. It's all about form brah. If you're destroying your limbs that's probably gonna be the actual stresser of your limbs.well I will do what I love as long as there is no evidence, and I will try not to be violent in any heavy exercise
