Is it the alcohol in normal topical minoxidil that causes most of the reported collagen loss or the minoxidil itself? Would using alcohol free topical minoxidil reduce this

alcohol opens the pore and allows it to be absorbed, so a topical application without it would likely have a lower absorption rate.

it's likely a combination of the two, but both are ultimately a result of not being careful with application, you need to keep it out of your face and prevent it from spilling into your face later.

If you've tried it have you noticed any collagen loss or early wrinkle formation in the local area next to where you apply it? Like forehead lines
