Is an otoplasty really needed for me?

My ears are a really big insecurity of mine and I don’t know if it’s really going to make a difference, and yes I did try to grow out my hair to cover them and it didn’t really work well enough.

Morph :

Your bizygomatic width is already quite high, and flared ears just add more width on top. It probably tends to emphasize your lower jaw's slight lack of vertical development. Pinning the ears will probably improve facial harmony.

Note that you will have to wait until 18yo to get the surgery done. Most doctors will require their patients to meet this age threshold for optimal healing and results.

Depends where he lives and has his surgery done. It could cost only a fraction of what you assume. It could also be covered by national healthcare, depending where he lives once again.

Pretty much CL already, oto would be high ROI. If you’re too high inhib though try Otostick, works fairly well but it can be painful taking it off and it pins the ears back too much imo.

First, a filter is applied to the picture, so we don't know what he really looks like. His nose is blurred out.

Then, besides the flared ears, his biggest visible flaw is the lower jaw's lack of height. The shape and angularity are very good, but the whole thing would need to be brought downward. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but wouldn't he be a good chin wing candidate ?
Of course, it should be reassessed in a few years, once he's done growing and maturing.

Finally, despite the filter, we can see that the alar base is quite wide. Mouth to nose width ratio is only ~1.20, significantly below ideal range (1.4-1.6) — this assessment might be mitigated depending on his racial background. The whole nose shape might be flawed too. It would have to be reassessed with clearer pictures.


But, yeah, based on this picture, he has a great eye area, great health indicators, and very good angularity. If conform to reality, true potential to hit CL status.

I bearly ever use any filters tho I don’t think I used anything in this pic(not even makeup or something).
I know my nose is a bit wide I am using hydrocortisone rn but I don’t think I’ll get a rhino since my nose is straight from the side , and also I think it might look weird on me considering my ethnicity(Yemenis/kurd Jew). Thank you for the morph though I am still in puberty and I am using exogenous hormones I think might be able to get close to it naturally(chin).

Hmm. Not 100 % convinced, as it looks both smoothened & blurred. Maybe it's your phone or your edit app that automatically apply a filter, I don't know.

The side profile pic you just edited in your post has also a sus area :

Given your ethnicity, I think you can get away with a curved dorsum or a slight dorsal hump. You don't necessarily need a 100 % straight nose to look good. I'd even argue that some curve/convexity can add a masculine touch, on top of the ethnic distinction.

Anyway, I agree with your comment about nose width and rhino.
Just get an otoplasty when you turn 18yo. And wait until your early 20s to reassess your lower jaw (chin included).
Regardless of what you'll eventually do, I'm confident you'll be looking good. Enjoy life !
