I haven't done much research but I am curious why people say anastrozole is bad feel free to debunk anything I say. Based on what I have learnt Anastrozole is a non-steroidal reversable aromatase inhibitor. It temporarily blocks the aromatase enzyme and unlike exemestane which are suicidal inhibitors it doesn't permanently disable the enzyme. The half-life of anastrozole is about 40-60 hours and estrogen suppression can last up to 4-6 days after it is no longer dosed. Missing a dose or few will not dramatically surge estrogen while it will cause a rebound due to the excess testosterone which was not converted and may increase e2 production for a brief amount of time but it will lower back down to baseline. This surge is not meaningful enough to affect growth plates or gyno as the spike of e2 is not very high and does not last very long. Consistent suppression over months is what matters for delaying closure/maturation. Short interruptions have minimal long-term impact on final height in studies of AIs. Anastrozole is also potent and not as neurotoxic as letrozole why is it not the perfect aromatase inhibitor?
