I’m not religious but the bible explicitly lays out that you WILL sin, no way around it, it’s gonna happen

But that if you’re truly repentant and believe in God and Jesus then you will be forgiven.

The bible only believes in ONE sinless person, Jesus Christ, that’s sorta the whole big deal around him. But even Jesus was in his feelings having a rocky relationship with God when he was being tempted, that means the rest of the Christians have ZERO chance of being sinless and unbreakable

I'm agnostic, but there are things I appreciate about different religions. Judaism is an obvious ethnic supremacy cult that I abhor, but there aspects to both Christianity and Islam I find admirable. I like how in (Protestant) Christianity salvation is not earned by acts and works and is given to the faithful. It's unlike other religions and does have a sort of "godly" aura to it, because it's counterintuitive to human nature and thought. And I would think that for a God who was so superior to his creations, nothing they could do would ever be good enough. It's a compelling case for Christianity I don't see talked about often.

I dislike Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy for various reasons. Islam is in some ways superior to Catholicism as a system of political organization and jurisprudence and has been less prone to schism. It's been somewhat better at what Catholicism tried to be: a unified top-down system of political control. But I dislike other things about it. I don't feel that Islam could be divinely inspired. It just tells people to do things. In the Bible, there is more mysticism, parable, and allegory. But perhaps that ambiguity resulted in all the schisms and such.

There are interesting things about other religions as well.
