IQ is halo on its own, people often judge your intelligence based on your appereance.. and if you're not the best looking, they will perceive you in a better light if you prove yourself by being intelligent. I suppose that if you can dominate others mentally, it creates an illusion that you're capable of physical domination. Many such cases.
