Is asymmetry all in the head?

Any nigga with friends know them niggas will make fun of u for everything and anything, yet I haven’t once been called asymmetrical or lobsided. Even the face rating sites and apps call me symmetrical. When I look at my face in the mirror or on the phone it looks perfectly symmetrical. However, once I use the inverted filter I immediately see all my asymmetries. I also don’t think I’ve once looked at a person and thought they were asymmetrical. So this leads me to think our asymmetry’s are largely exaggerated by our mind due to being so used to seeing the uninverted image of ourselves.

ur simply used to the image you see in the mirror so your mind skips over any asymmetries because it prefers that version, and of course as soon as its a reflected image your mind starts analyzing and realizing your asymmetries.

as for why you dont see others as asymmetrical, its likely cause IRL everyones in constant motion and its much harder to see asymmetries than say a still image where both sides of their face are easily comparable.

So for example I’m probably about 50-55% symmetrical. Above timothee chalamate but below Ronaldo, is that enough to be fine or no? Also could braces help my symmetry?

Are you sure his jaw is symmetrical?

Anyways for me it’s my jaw, left side is more developed right side is lacking, lips, only visible in some lighting but I have a lip crease on one side that isn’t on the other, and my nose which one nostril looks slightly different than the other. My eyes are probably as symmetrical as his.

Obviously if his head is tilted it looks asymtrical. Here’s his symmetry in a front face picture,it’s good only asymmetry he has is one eye is sleightly higher but that’s normal,jaws/chin and nose Symetry matters more

What applies to others applies to you, and having that in mind you’re likely average to above average in symmetry and therefore people don’t comment negatively about it. i wouldn’t stress it man, if you’re really worried get a rating here by a trusted guy and see what he has to say.

id avoid braces entirely though, especially during puberty. anything other than really shit teeth can be frauded without braces.

Then you have nothing to worry about as long as you have a straight nose like his not crooked (use inverted filter to check) and your jaw/chin is like his that’s better then average it’s cope if you think he has any asymmetry besides eye symmetry

I feel like braces would ascend me though, giving me a perfect smile and more jaw symmetry would be like a .5-1 psl increase. Every big Lightskin tiktoker I know had braces at some point, and they turned out amazing

Asymmetry can be minor or major, aslongest its in the average acceptable range it‘s nothing to worry about. Once it gets noticable thats when it becomes a problem.

Your head sees you twice as asymmetric as we see you when you‘re using the filter btw, bc you‘re used to the mirrowed version of your face and you detect your flaws quicker then anyone elses

I showed a close person both versions, he didnt seem to notice that much difference.

When I look at someone and then look at their mirror reflection, they look the same as what I'm seeing IRL

It distorts the face beyond recognition and of course asymmetries are gonna be noticeable and blown out of proportion

Mirror is almost always more accurate and if you cant see it in the mirror then it is indeed all in ur head

no one cares ab symmetry, talking from experience since to me myself i look like a terra asymmetric freak, but never ever got on comment on it. And my friends def would pick up on that if it was noticeable
