Is azelaic acid as effective as tret?

In europe is getting more difficult to buy medication without prescription, so i'm not paying shipping for tretinoin if it's not guaranteed to arrive from India.

Is azelaic acid a good alternative, as it is available in my country without prescription? It would be way easier.

if your acne is mild/moderate it should be just as effective but if your acne (if you even have acne) is more severe, then tret is more effective.
