im so lost on what I wanna do as a career and inb4 the niggas saying "job is cope" "school is cope" i dont wanna hear that

i was thinkinfg of going into it since the pays good, u get 3 - 4 days off, its stable, and i enjoy helping people

but the main problem is working 12 hour shifts 3 - 4 days a week, the high stress that comes with it, not even knowing if im gonna enjoy it

i dont want to commit to something im not sure of and be on high alert all the time and im not even talking about how nursing school is going to be

you can become a cna or emt before you go to nursing school to see if you like it

that only takes like 6 weeks or something

It sounds like a nightmare, but depends on where you're at. If you live in a large city with tweakers everywhere you're going to see really nasty shit unless you're just caring for elderly people and not working in the ER.

what would his takes be on it?

what would his takes be on it?
he lectured me and told me its a very worth it job, he started as a chemist for this protein powder/gym products company, realized its not stable, and he went back to school for 4 years to become a rn, thats what his take would be ( what he advised me ), his previous bachelors degree in chemisty wasted alot of time, but he couldve been a rn as early as 22 if he went straight into that path.

Hes a smart man, and he tells me the jobs sometimes stressful, given he works the night shift, but aye, every jobs stressful to some degree, might as well have a relatively easy and simple one to get into

plus these courses/certifications are usually offered by community colleges so its cheap to do and easy to get into. my local community college literally accepts anyone

see if you can intern in that sort of field, some places will require experience but im sure that there is something out there that doesnt require expeirence and can help you decide if that is a career for you.

yeah but im also a retard so i was gonna go to college then transfer to uni cuz of my shitty grades in hs

but also heard that the path to actually being one sucks ass especially REx-PN/NCLEX-RN tests are hard as fuck

and working 12 hour shifts idk how i would be able to deal with that

honestly man its a way better path than college

working 12 hr shifts might suck but paying off hundreds of thousands in student loans is way worse
(u might not even get a job out of college either lol its literally an aids job market and 99% of degrees are literally worthless)

lol bro ur overthinking and stressing man. its genuinely almost impossible to plan out ahead 10 years or even 5 years into the future. shit just happens, people change, you'll change. just trust God guiding you along the way, even if that means he redirects ur path. just pick the thing that you believe suits you the best rn and if things change in the future, worry about it then

ur causing urself stress worrying about things that arent even happening nor are even real

i just would rather be sure of it rn so i can plan ahead cuz ive always felt like i was behind my friends, family and peers

but yeah ur right ig for rn ill just live my life out and see where it takes me its just always going to be at the back of my mind since i dont rlly have that much time to keep contemplating it

if there is any piece of advice i could give, it would be to truly, genuinely pursue your dreams

whatever that may be, and that means get the most suitable job to support that financially and logistically

It's worth it if you actually like people, don't forget it's essential to have a certain kind of bond with the patient if you are a nurse
