Is benzoyl peroxide cope?

I've been using 10%; no new breakouts, but redness is still there. Was it cope for you? Did it help? Did any other product make it work better/provide synergistic effects?

It didn’t work for me on its own, but when I started using duac gel, which has benzoyl peroxide as one of the ingredients, my acne actually started to clear.
