Is bodybuilding holding me back?

I started lifting in college 8 years ago and eventually got into bodybuilding. I never competed, but I’m on low-dose testosterone and have done years of bulking and cutting. Now at 26, I already have a physique better than most casual lifters, but I’ve noticed downsides: thinning hair and a bloated face from higher test and diet.

Is bodybuilding holding me back? I don’t want to quit and regret it later, but the trade-offs (hair, face) don’t feel worth it. Anyone else experience this?

I don't know much about lookxmaxxing or anything. I can pull pretty well and often am told I am handsome and have a nice face. but I absolutely do see some bloat or puffiness, and my hair can objectively be thicker.

The only thing you need is a decent amount of muscle (which you already have) and to be lean, beyond that only makes you look worse. Never bulk again.

Yea i agree. I am never bulking again and I am in the process of dieting until like 10% BF. Currently at like 15/16%. Just hard to do since for so long I've always prioritized my life around building and retaining muscle at all costs.
