Is brain fog really that bad?

I've had what feels like brain fog for like 3 months now and my brain feels slow af, I can't concentrate, and when i talk to people, the moment they start to talk my brain shuts off. But it feels oddly peaceful, like i don't get bothered by anything and don't have the energy to take anything seriously. So is it really that bad?
