Is breeding dogs actually profitable?

I mean besides the initial cost of the breeding dogs and food it doesn’t seem like you would have to invest that much, maybe vet expenses too but these could be minimized if you avoid subhuman dysgenic breeds I guess (?), then just sell them as puppies as soon as it’s possible so you don’t have to worry about raising them lol.

Is it really as easy as it seems or am I overlooking something?

Very profitable and fun but alot of work, a girl i know does this with her dad and she has like 40k euros saved from this at 17
