Currently around 15-16% BF at 165 lbs considering bulking as a teenager to get to 175 lbs and then cut down. Is it a good idea or retarded gymcel cope?

Why not just cut and train until you're sub 12%?

Bulking is a misleading term.

If you are anything above 12%bf, eat in a slight deficit.

If you are anything below, eat in a slight surplus.

Boom, done.

Depends, if you have the bones in your face to withstand a bit of facial fat, youll be fine. Otherwise a very slow, lean bulk is the way. Just eat at about mantainance

Be honest with yourself. You can only gain 10-20 lbs of muscle a year and the rest is just fat. Knowing this, you really only need a 100 calorie surplus if that. That's what bulking really is for a natty. You should be focused more on protein consumption than anything.

Even on all those things, it is still possible to eat too much and gain fat. So it is best it start off with a small surplus and gradually increase your calories over a few weeks.

Don’t forget training frequency and intensity as well as getting enough quality sleep.

One of my strongest beliefs that no one will ever change my mind about is that bulking is the biggest meme ever. You can build muscle at maintenance and if you’re an ectomorph you will look like dogshit with the slightest bit of fat since it’s already harder for you to build muscle
