Yes if you are car enthusiast AND filthy rich. Just the maintenance of such car can cost around 10 000$ not to mention cost of fuel. When it comes to impressing women car will not do much unless you go for gold diggers, most dykes dont know difference between honda, bmw and ferrari and they only care about looks of a car. Id rather get a honda civic which is enough to impress pretty most women since it looks fast, sounds fast, is fast and is cheap (compared to supercars).

It's obviously not a necessity in Europe where you can pretty much go everywhere using public transport (or even your bike at times). But if you're still a teen, say 18, having a car can be a halo as most teenagers do not have a car of their own. But when you get into your 20s, a car in and of itself will no longer halo you, unless it's a luxurious car of some sort (which is indeed a waste of money, most of the time).
