Is chemical peel worth it?

My dermatologist suggested me to get chemical peel along with some medication. Is he scamming?

I usually don't get acne but i got mild acne out of nowhere 15 days ago. I have been sleeping 4 hours on avg from past two months. Only thing that concerns me is blackspots post acne. Does that fades away on it's own?

If he meant afterwards when you dont get breakouts then maybe yes depending on how your skin looks

But if he wants to peel first when you are breaking out and put you on meds after then it sounds kinda retarded

Lets say ur done with a accutane cycle and have deeper spots. Then it makes sense to do the peel afterwards

my acne is not severe. it is very less but i have lots of dark spot from past. He suggested to get during the meds. Should i continue or not?

it really depends on the severity of your acne and how bad the spots are

2 weeks ago?? Not worth it at all, I have had a battle with acne for 2 years. Just hop on some hard meds for it and it will get solved. Since he is a dermatologist he could probably give you accutane aswell. Chemical peels are a very long and difficult process.
