This is an extreme case, but for Arnold here his chest looks absolutely perfect, how much if that is by hard work and the rest is genetic?

all genetic obviously you need stimulus to grow the muscle but his chest insertion is why his chest is fuller than that of terry cruz

In the case of Arnold, his astounding chest was carried 90 % by his genetics. The rest is his training and his cycles. Some are gifted in a certain muscle department, find your strength and flaws, do your workout according to this knowledge.

The gap between your chest is fully genetic.
Theyre called muscle insertions

no no I originally meant the muscle fullness, how big the muscle looks, the gap is fully genetic as you said

Well I'm flattered. But others have already answered before me. Yes it's mostly genetics since almost every man that starts working out his chest will develop the lower part faster than the upper part. I'm no exception and I do my chest exercises accordingly ; trying to target the upper portion.
